First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer
Priming moisturizers have gained popularity over the past year or so, and this one from First Aid Beauty is a definite winner. Smoothing on a thin layer provides light moisture and a slight glow, but without the heavy silicone feel that comes with a lot of primers. Plus, the light tropical scent will have you dreaming of summer.
Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream
I've mentioned this product on the blog before, and it remains one of my favorite tinted moisturizers – especially for winter. It performs like a light foundation, and never feels heavy or greasy. Bare Minerals claims it can increase skin hydration by 215 percent! The finish is on the dewy side, so if you have oily skin, you may want to follow up with a light setting powder. There are 16 shades to choose from, and I use Buttercream 03.
Benefit Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer
For a light and moisturizing under-eye concealer, look no further than this stick concealer from Benefit. This one won't perform miracles, but it will help keep the skin under your eyes moisturized. I applied it straight from the tube, then gently blended with my ring finger. I loved the brightening effect and the fact that it didn't crease throughout the day. My shade is 01 – Light.
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blush
When my skin is in need of extra moisture, I always reach for a cream blush. This one from e.l.f. is infused with argan oil and vitamin E and gives a soft glow to your cheeks. I used the shade Rose Royalty.
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color
For eyeshadow, I went with the highly rated Caviar Stick from Laura Mercier. There's a reason this eyeshadow stick is so popular. It applies like a dream and lasts all day. Just swipe it on your lids straight from the stick, and then blend it up into the crease with a brush or your fingers. It comes in a ton of gorgeous shades, and I used Amethyst for this look.
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner
Bobbi Brown products are all around fantastic, and this eyeliner is no exception. I love the smooth and effortless application of the gel formula. I find that it applies best with a small pointed eyeliner brush. There are 7 shades to choose from, and I'm wearing Blank Ink.
Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara
Maybelline is known for some great mascaras, and their newest creation is quite impressive. They describe the formula as creamy, whipped, and infused with coconut extract. It definitely gives my lashes volume and length while still remaining soft. I used the shade Blackest Black, and though it isn't waterproof, I haven't experienced any smudging or flaking.
Maybelline Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil
Since Maybelline was buy-one-get-one half off the day I shopped, the new eyebrow pencil made it's way into my cart as well. The first time I tried it, I was immediately impressed. A lot of drugstore brow products can be too warm-toned for me, but the Medium Brown color was spot on. It's quick and easy to apply, and I will definitely repurchase this one.
Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick
Finally, for lips, I grabbed a tried and true favorite. This Neutrogena lipstick is smooth and light with the perfect amount of shine. It comes in a great range of pretty shades – mine is Plum Perfect.
I hope you enjoyed this easy makeup routine for winter plagued skin! What are some of your favorite moisturizing makeup products? Comment and let me know!
