Hectic Morning Makeup Routine

September 18, 2017 Randi Leave a Comment

Slept through your alarm?  Kids got you running behind?  All around crazy morning?  When you think there's no time for makeup, these six products will have you pretty, polished, and out the door fast!

1.  Tinted Moisturizer or BB Cream with SPF

These type of products were made for busy mornings.  Think of them as your skincare, sun protection, and light foundation all rolled into one.  I prefer a tinted moisturizer or bb cream with broad spectrum SPF of 3o or higher.  We're not going for a heavy makeup look here, so the light coverage they offer will even out your skin and give you a fresh face to start the day.

Two to try:

• bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream

• Maybelline Dream BB Fresh 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector

2.  Versatile Bronzer

A versatile, subtle bronzer will give your face a sun-kissed boost and make you look more awake.  With a big fluffy brush, lightly dust the bronzer on your cheekbones, forehead near hairline, bridge of nose, and chin.  Subtlety is the key, so be sure to use a light hand!

Two to try:

• Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzing Powder

• Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

3.  Fool Proof Brow Pencil

Spending just a few seconds tending to those brows will help frame your pretty face for the rest of the day.  Choose a natural looking brow pencil that is fast and easy to work with.

Two to try:

• Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil

• NYX Micro Brow Pencil

4.  One and Done Eyeshadow

Sweep on a one and done eyeshadow for dimension and the appearance of multiple shades.  A bronzy brown will complement any eye color and make your peepers pop.

Two to try:

• MAC Eyeshadow in Woodwinked

• Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze

5.  No Fuss Mascara

Hectic mornings are not the time for mascaras with a tricky formula and complicated brush.  Grab a tube that is easy to apply and won't flake or smudge by lunchtime.

Two to try:

• Lancome Definicils Lengthening And Defining Mascara

• Maybelline Full ‘N Soft Mascara

6.  Pigmented Lipgloss

Finish your look with a swipe of shine and color on your lips.  A gloss applies quickly, and the options are endless.

Two to try:

• Clinique Long Last Glosswear

• NYX Butter Gloss

So, the next time you are racing to get out the door, remember these 6 products for a quick and easy makeup routine!
